Buyers Privacy:
There are a couple of privacy issues when you access a site like PatternPost.

1. The private (authorized) use of credit card numbers on the web is generally the most important issue regarding privacy. Using a SECURE web site is as safe, or is more safe than handing your card to a stranger at the store or speaking the information over the phone. Secure web sites use a secure area (recognizable by https:// rather than http://) to exchange your private information. A digital certificate issued to you when you obtained your browser, contains a numeric key to scramble and unscramble your information during the transaction. E-mail, however does not use an encryption key to scramble your message, and so, is not suitable for the exchange of private information.

2. The malicious use of private information is not the only concern you may have. You may not want unsolicited advertisements sent to you via E-mail. To reduce the frequency of your E-mail address being 'spammed' by unwanted junk mail, Turn 'Cookies' off in your browser until you are ready to make a transaction. Cookies can collect information about you, which is then sent to the site you are visiting. Cookies are required for some secure transactions and so turn them on as needed. Another way to reduce mail is to be sure to check or unchecked as the case may be, any options to be contacted in the future. Many sites use the opportunity given during an order transaction to ask you "Can we contact you via E-mail about future specials". The choice to do so is yours.
