1. Have a unique idea you want to share!

A unique idea...
•We consider many creative endeavors to be unique and worthy of self-publishing. Some ideas, however are not unique and you risk infringing on copyrights and trademarks.
If you plan to sell patterns posted on PatternPost, you must be the creator of your pattern and project (or be licensed by the author or creator). If you sell patterns which are identical in any part to some other individual's work, you risk being asked to stop and desist, or could even end up in litigation for profits. To avoid all of these hassles we encourage you to enjoy the unique creation process and let your pattern express YOUR uniqueness! We also encourage you to educate yourself about copyrights.

PatternPost is intended to be a venue for people to share and teach creative ideas. PatternPost is not a venue intended to sell products and materials, unless they are accompanied by some unique information, technique, skill or creation, solely for instructional purposes.

Case in point: You cannot sell a can of spray paint and use the directions printed on the can to qualify for PatternPost listing. On the other hand, if you dispense special instructions for special effects which are not common to the information provided free elsewhere, then you may post a pattern page which uses the product in it's creation.

An example might be; Faux finish effects using a special combination of a specific brand of spray paints.

At all times you must agree to provide information to teach and share knowledge about specific skills. You must act honestly and with integrity or you may be banned from PatternPost. See our User Agreement for more information.
